Most families have cherished possessions in their homes which they would be sure to take with them in the case of an emergency that requires the family to leave their home with little or no notice. Pictures, videos, family heirlooms – all are important keepsakes for the history of the family. However, in this day and age, more and more of these types of memorable pictures and videos are stored on home computers, which aren't exactly the most convenient item to snatch up in emergencies such as fires or damaging storms. Families should back up their digital photos on flash drives to make sure they won't be lost if their computer is damaged or ruined. Flash drives are convenient, portable, and small enough to be inconspicuous on a key ring or chain. Also, flash drives can be programmed to automatically load new pictures or videos when plugged in, meaning your photos and keepsakes would be up-to-date if the worst should occur. Having a flash drive can save precious time if you and your family need to leave in a hurry.
