A Little Helper Equals Lots of Hope

My son Mackinze is at that wonderful yet somewhat scary age of independence - 11. You may think that’s a bit young to be labeling him as “on his own”, but the reality is kids these days, especially Mackinze, is a heck of a lot smarter and “able” than I sometimes give him credit for. So I push to “let him go” and figure out as much of life on his own without letting him get into too much trouble!

Last summer he actually asked if he could help mow the lawn, for money no doubt. But it was a neat thing to be reminded that a chore to some (me!) is actually a joy to others. It reminds me that plenty of folks searching frantically for branded flash drives or a someone they can trust to bring their bulk flash drive project to life (both precisely and promptly) are viewing what we do as an overwhelming chore. For us, as many have happily come to realize, it’s more a labor of love than anything.

Another interesting gem that sprouted from Mackinze helping with the mowing was the realization that I can’t do it alone. Very few can actually. It was amazing to be able to watch the lawn get mowed vs. having to be the one mowing it. I was liberated and thus inspired to think of how much we can all get done if we trust in others to be our little helpers. Trust is the key of course. And not everyone, as we all have experienced at one time or another, is worthy of it. While we’re not perfect, we sure as heck do our best to shoot for perfection with every flash drive project. We listen to what your objectives are, we take special note of your budget and timeline, then make recommendation based on our many experiences. The real magic happens when clients realize we are truly one of the best in branded usb flash drive industry. I’d say “the best”, but I still have an ounce of humbleness left I guess. Give me a few months and maybe I’ll change my claim.

I do my best to be the teacher, but it’s clear Mackinze continues to teach me lessons in life. I think that’s God’s way of reminding me I don’t know it all. That I need to embrace the reality that life teaches us ALL if and when we allow it to. Sometimes I’m too closed minded, too hurried to see the green grass growing right before my eyes. It’s times like these when we all need a little helper to calm us down, to remind us that the seemingly impossible is possible, with a little help and trust.
