A tree or not a tree?
I had a comical conversation with a friend of my Aunt’s, who by way of the transitive “friendship” property, is now a friend of mine. She said she despises artificial Christmas trees because they are trying to be something they are not - a real tree. Of course, the part that’s comical and sad at the same time is that the more someone is willing to pay, the more the artificial tree becomes guilty of trying to look that much closer to being real.
Her solution? She bought an aluminum tree. Her rationale? Because those are clearly not trying to be real..they are aluminum! And just happy to be shimmering their natural silver color.
How does this tie in with my journey of custom flash drives? Hmmmm. Not sure really. Let me stretch the limit of correlation here. I am learning to be who I am and be comfortable with that as far as how I and others in CFgear.com communicate about our capabilities, pricing, etc. We do what we do. And quite frankly, we work our butts off to do it well. No we’re not a ginormously sized company rather a few folks who happen to be family. We are not filthy rich rather barely making ends meet week by week. If you factor our hourly wage, it’s probably near 0.78/hr. But we ARE common, practical, resourceful, creative and sometimes humorous, sometimes serious-mind souls who just so happen to be focused, to the point of obsessing, on being the darn-tootin’ best custom flash drive company. Nothing artificial ’bout that!
Happy Holidays. Merry Christmas. And all the other celebrations of the world this time of year!!
