Beyond Our Ears
I’m not sure where the heck the saying even comes from, but when I first heard “You’re growing beyond your ears!” it seemed to stick with me. And what do ya know, now I have a perfect opportunity to put it to work. It seems that when CFgear started planting seeds a few years back in hopes to be able to grow fields of happy little customers (aka Kudos) in search of customized flash drive solutions, God smiled kindly on our efforts and today CFgearville is, well, growing beyond our ears…busting at the seams…or “insert cliché having anything to do with wonderful growth here”.
Every journey is a risk. Yet I’ve heard that when you are mindful of the journey, when you set out to seek that which interests you, that which brings you joy, the path will always be rewarding. Sounds selfish to some or even most I’m sure. But the truth is we are all human. We all are born as selfish beings. And seeking, exploring those “interests” is what gives us each a uniqueness.
Hmmm. So once again I’ve managed to make ya go “Ok. So what the heck does all this talk about a journey have to do with flash drives?” And my answer to that is “everything”. Everything when it relates to CFgear’s journey over the last few years anyway. We set out on a path, seeking that which interested us – quality products, pioneering solutions, long-term, respectful relationships, being open to new ideas, new “can we do this or that” thinking that clients so many times throw at us. We set out with open arms and open minds, planting seeds along the way, harvesting only what we needed to get us to the next phase of the journey.
Today, while the branded flash drive marketplace indeed has changed since the first step years back, we still mindfully continue to plant new seeds and move forward, trusting in the journey. Perhaps doing it for what we want and value, but all the while knowing very well that it would be empty without all the great people we’ve met along the way that seem to be walking on a parallel path of quality.
And beyond custom F: icons, beyond the interfaces we engineer to bring to life thousands of preloaded flash drives, it’s assuring to know that we’re all pretty much geared towards being low maintenance folks around here. Heck, as you can see in the picture, our latest addition to the leadership team comes from the hifalutin’ likes of a major corporation. But he’s right at home here in his $10 retro table-desk we so generously supplied him!
As the harvest season approaches ‘round here on the plains, we are aware of how fortunate we are to have what is shaping up to be look like a bountiful crop of new clients…and an increasing number of folks joining us on our journey. And trust me when I say if it’s premium branded thumb drives these new clients are in search of, the family here at CFgear will be certain to help their project come to life, hopefully inspiring growth beyond their ears too!
