Commissioned Custom Flash Drives

Not sure what it is about my mother, but she seems to find ways to smoothly drop little nuggets of inspiration into my life at the most needed times. Last month it was the “you should check out this musical group” playing down at the local coffee shop. Believe it or not it was life influencing if not changing. Just one of those moments when everything about the experience made sense to where I was with a lot of thoughts and emotions. The latest nugget came just last week when she was talking joyfully about the current exhibit at the South Dakota Art Museum – Lightpaintings, by Stephen Knapp.

This is surely one of those “you just have to see it for yourself” things in life so I’m not going to even attempt to describe the uniqueness and intriguing nature of the Lightpaintings. I love the way Stephen describes his works, however. “Lightpaintings are the intersection of painting, sculpture and technology, exploring color, light and space and are a harbinger of the future of painting.” Having spent 30 plus years exploring the “possibilities of light”, it’s clear Stephen has a passion and insatiable curiosity for “light”. And interesting enough, I wonder if it was that blend of passion and the unknown that gave way to innovation, opened his imagination and in the end shares some of the most fascinating displays of color in the universe.

Well, I’m no artist. Not with light anyway. But I have experienced the joys of stumbling onto to innovative processes and thinking in the customized flash drive market. All because I, and other around me, had a passion for delivering on the challenges and “can you do this?” type thinking our clients many times bring to the table. I am confident that because we don’t find comfort in standing still, we’re able to be a beacon of inspiration, of light and, ironically enough, comfort for all those out in internetland looking for a trusted partner to bring their bulk flash drives to life.

I look at the commissioned opportunities Stephen has had the privilege of working on and am reminded that CFgear has also had hundreds of commissioned opportunities. While most of the customized flash drives resulting from these won’t end up on hanging on museum walls (because they’re too darn valuable to clients!), we approach each customized flash drive project as if it was to be a work of art. A brilliant example of our client’s attention to detail and overall professionalism. We too look at the entire process required to bring to life branded bulk flash drives involving things similar to Stephens artistic journey – technology (premium NAND Flash components, color exploration (color matching of the logo and/or flash drive body), space (how many MB or GB are needed?) and light (you the client being so darn excited about the final product!!!).

One final parallel universe I had to throw out in this article was the very sensitive nature of Stephen’s art. Obviously, it’s dependent on the intensity of light in the room or environment it is being displayed. Such is the case with CFgear. While our foundation remains strong across endless environments, the colors are subject to change depending on the needs and vision of our clients. Thanks Mom!
