Galactic Flash Drives!

I had to chuckle. There I was in the heart of “Uptown”, the trendy, hot spot of one of the Midwest’s (heck, the Nation’s) greatest artistic Cities, a trip inspired by a need to get a way from the tremendous stress of the recent spike in custom flash drive need need needs. I was freshly wandering around in search of a nutritious and invigoratingly designed restaurant, only to find myself in Galactic Pizza . Now don’t get me wrong, there’s nothing to jab about on Galactic’s menu in regards to nutrition. And the beatnik styled LIVE poetry reading going on while I perused the menu indeed fit my criteria of “invigorating”.

But right there, in the midst of a possible escape from all the wonderful yet demanding doubling of the custom flash drive marketplace (for CFgear!!!) lately, I saw a table full of thirty-somethings commiserating over some pizza, health-conscious waters and none other than a bright blue flash drive snugly attached to one of my now fellow restaurant goers key chain. I being 100% unwilling to accept the fact that I’m officially obsessed with the entire printed flash drive and flash drive marketplace, found it very difficult to not first strike up a conversation with the seemingly intellectuals (they must’ve been smart, at least one of ‘em…they were carrying ’round a flash drive for goodness sake!). I wanted to flash my “world’s smallest swivel” (CFgear’s Microswivel ) on ‘em so badly.

I think I recall having to hit myself which I’m certain appeared no stranger than any of the LIVE poetry readings that evening. I wanted to ask question upon question as to the size of their keychain-bound drive - where they got it, the storage capacity, how they used it, how many more drives do they own…did they own any custom or bulk custom drives possibly given to them by someone at an industry tradeshow…the list of questions went on and on until I naturally lost my appetite. Instead, I decided that while a conversation with the owner of the superhero blue colored flash drive would most likely result in my being 100%  satisfied, it would probably end up boring the bejesus out of them. Ugggh. I eat, sleep and breath flash drives. Even in an attempt to escape the reality of such a booming and sometimes demanding custom usb drive industry, it’s clear that the reality is that wherever you or I go today, the use of flash drives is all the same - ever increasing and ever so popular!
