100% Salmonella-Free Flash Drives!
Yikes. One of my favorite veggies. Or wait I mean fruits! Whatever the case, the poor tomato is taking the heat in the press lately. So what’s a tomato lover to do? Hmmm. Well, I did notice my neighbors planted some fandangled tomato plant contraption. Perhaps I can pilfer some tomatoes in the middle of the night. I’m assuming unless the entire problem will one day be traced to the seeds, my good neighbors just a few steps east of my home may unknowingly save me from having to go cold turkey of hot summer tomatoes. Best part is nothing compares to fresh-off-the-vine.
Well with all this craziness going on, I wondered how such unfortunate news will
impact the lives of those dependent on tomato crops for their income. I imagine there are few farmers who have, pardon the other farm-like expression, all their eggs in one basket. Even so, many will be hurt by this latest news.
Fortunately in the world of branded flash drives we have little to worry about in the way of salmonella. That doesn’t mean, however, that the industry is free of adversity. Au contra ire actually. Fact is, salmonella has an equal in the flash drive marketplace and that equal can be traceable to many things.
One of the silent killers in the industry is recycled NAND flash memory. Unfortunately, it goes undetected by the average customer unless their bulk flash drive order is used for internal communications. This is because if clients are merely giving their branded flash drive products away as a promotional tool, folks will most likely never take the time or effort to complain to you when the drive doesn’t function consistently - one of the main symptoms of recycled NAND flash memory. That’s because the drive would most likely have come to them as a “freebie” in which case they merely throw your branded flash drive efforts in the trash. Sad to say but very true. If and when flash drives are custom branded for internal promotions, your employees will communicate the issues and you’ll have a chance to diagnose the sickness of recycled NAND flash memory.
The other “salmonella” of the flash drive industry is traceable to missed opportunities actually. It’s a sickness that goes undetected until folks like CFgear wander into the picture and collaborate with your company to get your flash drives on a healthy path towards intelligent preloading. Too many companies are investing in bulk flash drives without even realizing the many opportunities for branding and messaging inside the flash drive.
Finally, the overall health of the branded usb flash drive industry seems to have slipped a bit. With the trend moving upward, there are many new entrants battling it out for a small piece of the usb drive pie. Competition is healthy I agree. But what inevitably happens is increased competition attracts “cheap” pricing and “cheap” pricing many times requires “cheap” products and processes. In the end, you have to trust us when we say “you get what you pay for”.
We can’t cure everyone. And some may even have been fortunate enough to be immune to the villains running free in flashdriveville. But that doesn’t mean we aren’t committed to serving as the trusted Doctors, helping keep everyone on a healthy path towards powerfully, intelligently branded flash drives.
