Lost But Thankfully Found

I was out in my front yard last weekend trying to prove once again that I don’t have the slightest clue how to be handy. I was attempting to set in some flagstones in one of the “dirt patches” I alluded to in an earlier post. About the time I was working up a “I’m so not handy” sweat, my California-native neighbor, Amber, came over and asked if I’d seen her dog Yogi, after Yogi Berra the baseball great. I sadly let her know I hadn’t “heard (he has a cute muffled bark) nor seen” him lately. All Amber could deduce after a few moments in my yard was that she left the garage door open while mowing the lawn and he slowly wandered away. He’s older so it was indeed more of a “Hmmm. It’s Saturday. It’s nice out. The doors open. I think I take a stroll” than a “I’m outta here!!!” dash that a young pup would do.

At first I went back to digging the shallow grave for my flagstones but I could tell that Amber was getting increasing worried. As she was herding her kids into her car to go look for Yogi, I decided as a good neighbor I better help out. So I hopped on my wife’s scooter and told Amber I’d go “this way” and she should go “that way”…and call each other if and when we heard any news.

I scooted around block and block stopping and asking folks on occasion if they’d seen a dog out and about lately. Then it occurred to me. That’s kinda like what it feels like when you’re out in internetland kinda just trying to sort through all the possible places your desired purchase could be. It’s frustrating and sometimes full of anxiety. You don’t know where or how to start looking. Some folks may have a better idea of what it is they are looking for which always helps to refine a potentially multi-million result-generating search “term” in Google. But others, especially in the case of getting a company logo on flash drives, don’t know how to sort through all the internet’s neighborhoods to find that loyal lost dog, or the trusted bulk flash drive partner I guess.

Ok. So maybe this analogy is all in all stretching things a bit, but if you’re a long-time reader of my blog posts, you should’ve figured out by now that pretty much every ounce of my “personal” life has something to do with my work life, which is CFgear.

It’ll hopefully bring you some comfort to know that Amber did finally find Yogi. He apparently strolled down just around the corner. Unfortunately, he wasn’t wearing his collar so bail at the pound was set at $100. Yowsers! Oh well, as Amber said, at least he was safe!

I am 100% serious when I say I’m passionate about making sure CFgear is the company that folks find when they feel like they’re trying to find a needle in a haystack, as far as their search for a trusted branded flash drive partner goes. As I said, last weekend reminded me how overwhelming it is when you’re trying to find something yet you’re surrounded by so many possibilities, so many directions to go. It’s hard to know where to start!

Hopefully, by asking around, if the six degrees of separation formula works, you’ll run into someone that knows of someone (and you get the picture) that worked with CFgear to bring their bulk flash drive project to life! But if you’re not reading this post and you’re still lost in your search for someone who can deliver 3000 preloaded flash drives for your quickly approaching trade show appearance, I’m hoping you by chance stumble into the right neighborhood. A neighborhood that ultimately leads you “home” to us.
