Halloween is nearing quickly. Within a matter of days in fact, kids of all costumes will trample down the neighborhood streets with but one thing on their mind – candy. The little kids will have a cute little plastic pumpkin bucket and find joy in having a complete stranger fill it with a sweet treat. The more veteran bunch will most likely be touting their pillow cases in hopes they can have it busting at the seams by night’s end.

I wonder if the “king size” dream still lingers on in the minds of trick or treaters? And don’t act like you don’t know what I’m talking about. Every kid, especially every team of kids ghouling around on Halloween night , has this vision of a house that gives away king-size candy bars as freely as the old lady at the end of the block who must’ve saved pennies her whole life and now proceeds to wrap them individually in tinfoil as if that was a good idea.  While I never discovered the mother load, it was the thought, the hope of such a treat of all trick or treats that added to the excitement of the October ending nights.

As an adult, it’s fun to see all the thrills and even hear an occasional shrill as the candy mongers make their way from doorstep to doorstep. And as a CFgearer, it’s fun to imagine Halloween night as just any normal day for folks on the internet in search of a sweet custom flash drive partner. Sure. The internet affords us the pleasure of not having to wander door to door in hopes they’ll hit the “king” of customized flash drives. Come to think of it, wouldn’t that be a great Google tool – being able to plug in what candy you like and having Google churn out what houses are handing it out for Halloween night. Ok. So maybe there’s limited value and reality in that idea, but at least the internet is providing value to businesses and schools in search of bulk flash drives for sale.

Years back, when we first turned our porch light on and started loading our bowls full of professionally customized usb, we had but a few who discovered our unique, personal and oh-so-NOT-frightening approach to the branded thumb drive industry. That was then. This is now. And very gratefully, now each day we have teams of people on the hunt for someone to help take the terrifying surprises out of their bulk flash drive project.

Yes, of course, we realize that some folks seem to thrive on adversity. They seem to be drawn to the tradition of “I need it cheaper” or “I need it yesterday”. Hmmm. Fact is, we don’t manufacture “cheap”.

And while we’d love to be able to throw a few rabbits feet and a dash of pepper into a cauldron to deliver on some people’s tight deadlines, we aren’t afraid to be frank(enstein) when it comes to telling you what is a realistic turn around. Take a step back in time to when you were a kid. Think about all the joys and jolts Halloween brought. Now imagine being able to count on the CFgear house, with its light shining like a beacon, to always deliver the most delightfully unique, perfectly sweet treats customized to fit your exact tastes. Well, that’s CFgear today in a nutshell. Or should I say salted nut roll – one of my favorite, old-fashioned treats!

The trees are rapidly losing their color around the Plains of the Midwest. Snow will soon follow and dress the landscape in virgin white. Fortunately, I stumbled upon a few trees during one of their final colorful moments. They reminded me of the many natural wonders across this planet. Almost bursting with color. Proud to be a tree. Delighted to know its rare beauty is able to stop folks in their tracks…even pull ‘em from across town after people share the “have you seen that row of trees” seasonal small talk over a morning coffee.

Yet, as wonderfully inspiring as these particular trees are this time of year, the reality is it’s one of those “you had to be there” things in life. I agree a picture is worth a thousand words. And a great picture can sometimes leave us speechless. Or move us to tears or laughter. In this case, however, as I’m still learning how to capture the moment on camera, my picture does a great injustice to the true colors shining through on these trees.

Yet, as solid as the pictures may be, just as in the case of the splendor of the trees, there’s no substitute for the real thing. Now I’m not going to claim having a customized usb drive from CFgear in your hand will move you to tears or inspire you to live life to it’s fullest, but I will stand proud knowing so many clients take the time to express their sincere joy for having CFgear bring their custom flash drive project to life. Around here we call it Kudos. And it reminds us that while we obviously can’t make everyone in the world find wonder in what we do, our passion and dedication to making the planet’s most inspiring custom flash drives are indeed noticeable and appreciated.

Often times throughout the blog, I show no shyness about tying in the everyday joys and adversity of life with that of the world as CFgear sees it. That’s because it’s hard to separate “life” from “CFgear”. And it’s been said before, but it’s true so I’ll say it again. We eat, sleep, and breathe custom flash drives. So when I’m stopped in my tracks to enjoy the glory of a row full of trees screaming “Look at us cause we’ll soon be just another leafless figure!” that moment spills into things I think about for CFgear.

Which leads me to the final thought of this post. While it may not give much insight to those in search of environmentally-friendly preloaded flash drives from CFgear, I’m hoping it may jolt readers enough to stop in their tracks and allow more moments to move their soul. The average person will only have 75 chances to gaze up at 4th of July fireworks, celebrate Christmas or Hanukah…and of course, only 75 chances to become speechless over Fall’s full colors.
