Presidential Drive

What? I got my tush off to the polls on June 3 only to find out that in reality my voice, my vote was only superseded by these so called Super delegates. Who the heck are these people? And why don’t I have a firmer grasp on the political environment in America and the world? Especially since my own father is a distinguished political science professor?? Retiring after 38 years of SOLID, PASSIONATE service to South Dakota State University. But that’s worthy of an entirely different post. So back to the Super delegate speak. And for those wondering, yes I’m registered as a “little D” but don’t discount me if you’re a die hard “Big R”. That’s the exact trouble with our country/world today in fact - thinking that we have to choose a side, that we must argue to defend our position. What’s wrong with embracing the reality that while we are all inevitably born to have many different perspectives, how could anyone argue that what’s most important are leaders that are passionate about being pioneers for what’s best for man(woman/children)kind?

Throw the Democrat, Republican, Independent labels aside. What I care about is exactly what I just said - LOVE. This world needs more of it. And more REAL people that care about the most seemingly insignificant “folks” in the world. And I’m sorry, but this post is not going to be another organic discussion of branded flash drives or preloaded flash drives or political flash drives or any flash drive blah blah blah, it MUST be about a leader that is willing to be humble, to be loving, to be vulnerable, to be OPEN MINDED, to be spiritual, to be respectful, to be honorable, to be all the things we normally don’t associate with political leaders or politics.

I’m not here to preach about who I think anyone should vote for. You just heard my thoughts. And the reality is I’m not sure any of those running fit my description of what I think America (and the world) needs for leadership as soon as possible. But I have learned from my father that not doing anything is not an option. Otherwise the status quo, one of the worst states of our economy and global “environment” will continue on the downward path and you, me and everyone whether you choose to take a stand or not are all in this together as a failing and ailing part of history.

And here’s where I will most likely alienate at least a few folks out there searching for a credible bulk flash drive company, I’m tired of the politicians abusing the “God Bless America” phrase. As if God, the most supreme power beyond our imagination, would be so small minded to bless “just” America. Or even honor such “borders” of a planet. We are all one body. One planet. One people. The leaders of “America” should be in tune with the needs of the “world” especially since we are the richest, most financially privileged people on the planet. We thus have the responsibility to be empathetic, loving of those less privileged, less able to at the most fundamental level “make ends meet” much less build a foundation to start helping others.

So GOD BLESS EVERYONE. GOD BLESS THE WORLD. THE UNIVERSE. EVERTHING AND ANYTHING BEYOND OUR IMAGINATION. Oh, I almost forgot - the Super delegates. Well, whoever and wherever you are. I hope you have all this in mind and heart.
