Not sure if folks ‘round your area are honoring Columbus Day or Native American Day…or either? Here on the plains of South Dakota, we reserve October 13th as Native American Day. There’s been a lot of discussion, in fact, about Columbus being anything but friendly to the Native Americans he “discovered” way back in 1492. As much as some history books paint an amicable picture, the reality is Mr. Christopher Columbus wasn’t very keen on the non-Christian nature of Native Americans.

Well, rather than focus on what historians and even States are obviously not in agreement with, I’d rather discuss one of the interesting scenarios that arose from the very first expedition to the Americas.

Historians explain that when Christopher Columbus’ teeming ships were approaching the shores of the Bahamas, the only person in the Native American tribe that was able to see them was the shaman. It’s believed that because the shaman’s mind was open to new experiences, open to at least allowing life’s mysteries as “real”, he was able to see the approaching ships.

As hard as the rest of the tribe tried to see the ships, however, nothing but the same ocean view they’d been seeing their entire life was there. Not until the shaman convinced the tribe that the ships he was seeing were real, were they finally able to make out the outline of the ship. This came after much description of the ships features, characteristics of course. Thus helping give shape to the mystery and also gradually working to open the minds of the tribe members.

While to our knowledge, none of the United States are observing a CFgear Day, we sure wouldn’t be opposed to the thought. Not that we think so highly of ourselves, but we do find joy in knowing we’re responsible for the discovery of some of the most premium customized flash drive solutions on the planet. Our belief in a better way, in the mysteries and advancements of technology, helps us “see” solutions in places some folks might only find “the same old same old” or even a few “it can’t be done’s.” We also understand that our clients are each an undiscovered territory, having unique characteristics, needs, and parameters when seeking bulk flash drives for sale.

We don’t set out to conquer new lands rather we are on a journey to discover new wonders, ideas and challenges from each. The exploration itself is indeed inspiring! But we also thrive on arriving at new customized flash drive solutions as a result of being open-minded enough to first notice things like industry trends that were once unimaginable then incorporate these into an even more pioneering solution.

Heck. We’re so into the exploration thing ‘round here that I don’t think it would be out of line for us to move the ol’ CFgear headquarters to what is believed to be the spot of Columbus’ “Americas” discovery – the Bahamas. And with old man Winter rapidly approaching on the Plains of South Dakota, my guess is no one on the CFgear team would argue much with that idea.
