Going on a cruise would certainly be a vacation remembered for a lifetime. Maybe you’d travel around Alaska, or to the Bahamas and back, or around the Caribbean. Wherever you went, you would definitely bring a camera and take lots of pictures to remember the trip. If you had a video camera, you would probably be filming a lot of your family enjoying the adventure. You might even keep a journal of sights and activities from day to day. And you’d certainly be calling family and friends back home to let them know about what they are missing out on.

Whatever you did, you would certainly take steps to remember as much of the cruise as possible to be able to look back on the adventure. Perhaps you might even purchase a memento the cruise ship company would offer to remember the trip. They could hire a photographer/videographer to take pictures and video footage, assemble a list of people on the voyage so you can remember who you met, and write short summaries of what happened each day. Then, all that information could be put onto flash drives that each person or family could receive upon leaving the ship.

A flash drive with a few gigabytes of space has plenty of storage room for hundreds of pictures, some short video clips, and whatever other data might be interesting to put on. Perhaps for an extra fee a family could hire the photographer to take pictures just of them to store on a customized flash drive. The photographer could take candid shots, posed portraits, and scenery shots to combine a variety of sights for posterity.

At CFgear, we could help design a custom layout for the screen when the flash drive is plugged in. Perhaps the background could be a landmark seen from the ship during the cruise, or if customized to families, the background could be their family portrait. There could be links to slideshows of pictures, videos, facts about the ship, facts about the geography along the cruise, information about the countries or states visited, and whatever else might be interesting. The cruise company could even put in some ads to encourage customers to try them again—information about other cruises and maybe links to websites with discount offers.

Also, the outside of the flash drive can be fully customized. One can pick from a wide variety of flash drive designs in all sorts of colors and materials, from plastic to wood to metal. Then, the drive can be imprinted in up to four colors or engraved with laser. Perhaps a nice wood flash drive with an engraved ship logo and the cruise company’s name would give a classy touch to the cruise memento. Then everyone on the cruise can be sure to be able to look back on the adventure, even the ones who forgot to throw their cameras in their luggage.
