Network administrators are responsible for uploading software to install or update a system. Previously, network administrators would have to carry around numerous CDs to install programs. They would insert one CD, install the software, remove the CD, insert another CD, install software, and so on in a time consuming cycle. Now, administrators can use a flash drive to store all necessary software.
They simply insert the flash drive and choose which systems to install from their many choices. They would no longer be responsible for dozens of CDs. Many are also responsible for clearing a computer of viruses while saving as much hard drive material as possible. When fixing an infected computer, administrators feared going online to obtain virus removing software. Now, they can install their flash drive preloaded with anti-virus software and efficiently remove any possible viruses.
Network administrators can use a flash drive to maintain and update all the many computers on their system.
